Dove® and Blogher recently gave me the opportunity to try out
Dove’s®
new line of premium body washes. I’m not much of a cosmetics person at all, and
I never use a moisturizer. Commercials do imply that I’m out of the
loop on that front… If I believe what I see, women all over are going through
moisturizer like it’s going out of style.
I figured that if this body wash actually did improve the look of your
skin in a week, which is what it claims to do, it would be an easy way to add a
moisturizer and not have to make an extra effort.
If I don’t get a
shower in the morning right after I get up I’m not a happy woman. That’s the
time that I need to kind of wake up and get moving, and you’d better not talk
to me until after I’m out of the shower. That’s my time to go through the
mental to-do list and get ready to deal with whatever I have to deal with that
day. The Dove® VisibleCare™ Toning Crème Body Wash has a nice,
light scent, which is something that I need because heavy perfumes really
bother me, especially first thing in the morning.
I wasn’t sold on the idea that this body wash could work,
but I have to admit that the first time I used it I was surprised at how good
my skin felt afterward. It actually does
improve how your skin looks and feels, and that was after using it once. This
body wash contains the highest level of NutriumMoisture™ technology across the Dove®
product portfolio, and you can really tell. It makes your skin feel softer
right away, but it doesn’t feel like you have a layer of moisturizer on, which
is why I don’t like to mess with that.
The Toning Crème Body Wash says that it improves the
elasticity and strength of your skin, and its ingredients include glycerin and
vitamin E among other things. It feels really cool when you put it on your
skin, which was nice because we were having a heat wave and it’s been really
sticky and nasty here. I find myself looking forward to using it, which for me
is impressive because I really don’t pay much attention to the soap that I use
in the shower.
After a week, I did have "visibly more beautiful skin from a
body wash," just like it says. Without doing anything more than just using it in
the shower, my skin felt softer and better than it had to begin with. My daughter had also been using it, and she said that she noticed an improvement in the skin on her arms, which is dry all the time.
This is a
product that I’ll definitely buy again, which for me is saying a lot. It also
